BG Community Center shutdown extended through Aug. 18

The shutdown for annual maintenance to be completed at the Bowling Green Community Center has been extended an additional week through Friday, Aug. 18 due to gymnasium floor resurfacing complications that will impact the entire facility. The city sent out a news release Thursday. The floor resurfacing process results in toxic fumes that will require the facility to be closed for a few days after the application in order to ensure the safety of facility visitors, patrons and staff. The end result will be a floor better equipped to meet the needs of all recreational users.
