A lawyer for John Eastman said he will not take a plea deal in the Department of Justice’s special counsel investigation into attempts to overturn the 2020 election. Eastman, a lawyer whose legal memos contributed to former President Trump’s efforts to pressure Vice President Pence to stop the certification of the 2020 presidential election, was confirmed by his lawyer Harvey Silverglate to be one of the co-conspirators mentioned in the Tuesday's indictment of Trump in the investigation.
