With up to 80,000 vacancies in its workforce, Greece is looking to utilize international agreements signed with Egypt, Syria, Bangladesh and Pakistan to employ workers in the Greek tourism sector – in addition to employing workers in agriculture, livestock and fisheries. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis stated: “We are working to activate the agreement signed with Egypt in (agricultural production).” He previously admitted that there is a severe shortage in some sectors of the economy, such as primary industries and the tourism sector.
