Yesterday was the last chance to submit comments on the New York State Independent Redistricting Commission draft plan for new maps for 150 Assembly districts. We hope that you didn’t bother, as the maps should be drawn by a special master. The redo was ordered by the courts because last year the stumblebum IRC and the cynical Legislature (with the shameful agreement of Gov. Hochul) violated the state Constitution in the decennial exercise.
