Republican Yemen Yemen Government and Houthi rebels agreed today to release 887 detainees as a result of 10-day talks co-chaired by the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva, Switzerland. This comes amid international efforts to put an end to the 8-year-long conflict in Yemen that triggered the world’s worst humanitarian crisis in modern history. “I join hundreds of Yemeni families in looking forward to the swift & smooth implementation of the releases,” said Special Envoy Grundberg.
