In its zeal to attack the City Council’s practice of permitting individual members to dole out tax dollars to favored organizations, a Daily News editorial last month made unwarranted and unjustified suggestions about the not-for-profit corporation Bridge to Life. The News’ dim view of Bridge to Life, a recipient of a member item grant, appears to rest upon the bizarre and unfounded assertions of a few City Council members whose profligacy knows no bounds except where it might prevent a single abortion.
