With less than an hour before New Year’s and the start of her own first full term as governor, Kathy Hochul caved late Saturday night and signed an overly large pay raise for the Legislature and got nothing in return for the people of New York. Members have now pocketed a $32,000 jump, to $142,000 annually, courtesy of the taxpayers while keeping the right to collect unlimited outside income from special interests. Nice going, Gov.
