Republican Yemen The Omani delegation has left the rebel-held capital Sana’a with no reported progress with regard to expanding a UN-sponsored truce that expired in early October. The Omani mediators, who arrived in Sana’a last week, departed on Sunday after meeting with Houthi leaders, including the head of the group, Abdelmalik al-Houthi. The Houthis demanded that salaries of public servants be paid across the country and oil revenues be shared with them. Spokesperson and chief negotiator for the Houthi group Mohammed Abdulsalam threatened that drone attacks on oil terminals and ports in areas under the internationally recognized government if their demands aren’t met.
