QU launches student branch of Arab Association for Cyber Security

Qatar University (QU) announced that it has launched the student branch of the Arab Association for Cyber Security, with the objective of promoting the students' role in the area of cybersecurity systems, discuss future challenges and explore solutions, and discuss the co-operation mechanisms to establish joint researches and programmes concerning this matter. The dean of QU’s College of Engineering Dr Khalid Kamal Naji said that the student initiative is aimed at raising awareness of the significance of cybersecurity at the individual and corporate levels, especially given that cyber-crimes, which had previously been confined to individuals or small groups, have become more pervasive and
