      The Association of Secretaries General of Arab Parliaments and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for co-operation, co-ordination and direct communication. The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the 145th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, held in Kigali, Rwanda, which concluded on Friday. HE the Secretary-General of the Shura Council and Chairman of the Association of Secretaries-General of Arab Parliaments, Dr Ahmed bin Nasser Ibrahim al-Fadala, stressed that the MoU aims to activate the association's role at the international level, to enhance the exchange of experiences, and to facilitate the work of Arab parliaments
