Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-Calif.), a member of the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack, said Tuesday that the messages shown by Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) at the end of the hearing on Tuesday constitute witness tampering. Aguilar was responding to a question asked by CNN's John Berman on "New Day" about the significance of the messages.
