China Targets 33% Renewables Power Share By 2025

China plans to have 33 percent of its electricity sourced from renewable power sources in a new renewables plan by 2025. China, which had a 28.8 percent share of renewable electricity in 2020, also looks to raise the share of non-fossil fuel energy in its overall energy mix to 20 percent by 2025, according to the new five-year plan from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) cited by Reuters.
