The five Rochester appellate justices who this afternoon will hear the exceptionally weak appeal of a strong court decision throwing out the ridiculously gerrymandered districts drawn by the Legislature’s Democratic supermajority should quickly dispatch it and uphold the ruling. Regardless of their party affiliation, Justices Gerald Whalen, John Centra, Stephen Lindley, John Curran and Joanne Winslow all took the same oath to the state Constitution. These lines clearly violate its plain language.
