Youssef Ramadan, a swimmer on the Egyptian national team, succeeded in qualifying for the semi-finals of the 32nd Summer Olympics, which are currently being held in Tokyo through August 8. The 19 year-old managed to finish the 5th race of the 100-meter butterfly competition with a personal record of 51.67 seconds, coming in 14th place. The semi-final competitions are scheduled at dawn on Friday. Egypt has won two bronze medals so far, through Taekwondo stars Hedaya Wahba and Saif Eissa.
