San Andreas, CA…Meet Chester, a special needs heeler mix senior very much in need of a good human. Chester came to the shelter as a stray and after a vet visit, we found he had glaucoma. Medications helped for a short time but soon Chester would not leave his kennel and was in obvious pain. The compassionate decision was made to remove his eyes. Chester has been in foster care with a wonderful couple, learning to navigate his way around their home and property. He is mostly quiet but will bark if someone is at the door.
