Arsonist Arrested for Arson & Other Charges ...Middle East

Sonora, CA…On February 16, just before 6 A.M., our office received a call of a subject who had started a fire in a hotel room in the 300 block of S. Washington St. When our officer arrived on scene, he contacted 58-year-old Robert Anson of Sonora. The Officer located burned items in the hotel room, including a lampshade. Luckily the fire was quickly extinguished before our Officer arrived on scene. A records check of Anson confirmed that he had previous charges of Arson and is included in the Arsonist Registry.
