ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Some would say near perfect summer weather to finish the weekend. We had all the right ingredients today with plenty of sunshine, lower humidity, a light breeze, and comfortable temperatures. However, once again the tropical air will make a quick return for Monday across all of Western New York. Temperature readings will rise rapidly with the mercury pushing 90 degrees. And with increasing amounts of humidity, the heat index will be at least in the middle 90s.
Tonight, look for clear, starlit skies with the low temperature near 63 degrees. Monday brings partial sunshine and just the small chance of an isolated thundershower later in the afternoon. Again, lots of heat and humidity. But this will not be a heat wave similar to last week. The hot, steamy weather will begin to break later Tuesday with more comfortable weather for Wednesday and Thursday. Early indications are that the Fourth of July holiday will be dry and pleasant.
