Greeley Culture, Parks and Recreation will celebrate Parks and Recreation Month with community events in July.
The first event will be on Thursday, July 10, when the city will celebrate the opening of the renovated Delta Park. The time for the celebration is set to be announced soon.
The other events include:
Friday, July 18: Parks and Recreation Professionals Day 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 19: Touch a Truck and Classic Car Show on the 8th and 9th street plazas in downtown Greeley. The event offers a chance to meet first responders and tour their trucks in addition to a nostalgic car show with local food and business vendors. Friday, July 25 to Saturday, July, 26: 2025 Arts Picnic at Lincoln Park, 917 8th St. The event features artwork from local, state and national artists.The city will also have bingo cards to encourage the community to explore city parks. These “Summer Parks” bingo cards feature 25 Greeley parks and are available at the Greeley Recreation Center, 651 10th Ave., the Family FunPlex, 1501 65th Ave., the LINC library, 501 8th Ave., and the Centennial Library, 2227 23rd Ave.
Once you have a card, take a photo of yourself at each park you visit. To get a bingo, complete a line of five spaces that can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal.
Once you have a bingo, return the card to the Greeley Recreation Center or the FunPlex, where staff members will verify your bingo. Once verified, you’re entered to win prizes such as a free one-month membership to the Greeley Recreation Center and the FunPlex, a Greeley Recreation 10-punch pool pass and a Visit Greeley gift bag.
“Whether it’s creating inclusive spaces for play, offering programs that support physical and mental well-being, preserving natural habitats or hosting events that bring neighbors together, our team is proud to serve the community every day,” Culture, Parks and Recreation Director Diana Frick said in a city news release.
