Georgia earned a commitment from one of the top-ranked place kickers in the 2026 class on Thursday.
Pittsburgh (Pa.) Fox Chapel Area kicker Harran Zureikat announced his commitment to the Dawgs on social media. Pitt, Penn State, Syracuse, and Boston College were also after his verbal, but Georgia came out on top. Zureikat’s pledge marks the second in as many days by a top-ranked specialist; Wade Register, the nation’s No. 1 punter prospect in the class, committed to Georgia on Wednesday.

— Harran Zureikat (@ZureikatHarran) June 12, 2025Kohl’s Kicking rates Zureikat as a 5-star recruit and the No. 1 kicker in the class. He is the No. 2 kicker in 247Sports’ own rankings.
Kohl’s Kicking had this assessment on Zureikat:
Zureikat dominated Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp in July of 2024! He was clearly the best 2026 kicker at camp and won the field goal and kickoff competitions. … He has the leg speed and coordination to develop into a strong combo collegiate prospect.
Georgia only recently worked out Zureikat and extended an offer. He announced on social media on June 10 that coach Kirby Smart had extended a scholarship.
He can handle kickoffs as well as some punting duties, though Georgia is likely bringing him in to focus solely on place-kicking following the recruitment of Register.
Peyton Woodring is back in 2025 after leading the Dawgs’ kickoff and field goal units. He recorded touchbacks on 57.5% of his kickoffs last year and went 21-for-23 on field goal tries. He was also a perfect 48-for-48 on extra points.
With Woodring back, Zureikat will have to wait for a role, but teams like Georgia now have the ability to carry more than 1 scholarship specialist on their roster following the approval of the House settlement. And Zureikat told Pittsburgh Sports Now he is fine waiting for his turn.
“The situation I am walking into is very ideal,” he told the outlet. “Peyton Woodring is arguably the best kicker in college football and will be a senior when I come in. I get the opportunity to compete with him, but also learn from him physically and mentally about what it’s like to play in the SEC.”
Georgia now holds 16 known commitments in the 2026 class. The group ranks fifth nationally, according to the 247 Composite.
