Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte didn’t let Atlanta Braves starter Spencer Strider get away with leaving the ball over the plate, as he crushed two home runs in the opening three innings of Tuesday’s game at Truist Park.
The two blasts moved Marte up to third on the Diamondbacks’ all-time RBIs list with 481, passing Steve Finley’s 479. Paul Goldschmidt is second with 710, and Luis Gonzalez holds the top spot with 774.
In terms of home runs, Marte reached 150 as a member of the D-backs with his second on Tuesday — Finley is third in team history with 153.

Marte fell behind 0-2 in his first at-bat, but Strider left a changeup middle-middle. Marte blasted it 445 feet, a moonshot, and Braves right fielder Ronald Acuña Jr. did not even look until the ball nearly landed.
The home run gave Arizona a 1-0 lead, as eight of Marte’s nine homers to that point were solo shots.

Marte’s 10th home run of the season marked his third multi-homer game of 2025 and gave the D-backs a 4-0 lead.
