IShowSpeed has a week most football fans would die for at the Champions League finalGettyThat’s because he’s now revealed an invite to train with Olympic icon Usain Bolt.
Showing his phone during a live stream, a message from the eight-time gold medalist popped up.
“My G what’s good, we can link up any time,” Bolt said.
“I’m retired now, so I’m not running, but I can coach you to go faster. You’re already fast, but everybody wants to be faster, right?”
Absolutely thrilled, Speed sent a voice note back.
“Yooooooo, private training with Usain Bolt! Usain Bolt you’re a legend thank you,” he said.
“Let’s lock that training session in, I love you bro, let’s get this training session in this year, I love you man.”
Bolt still holds the record as the fastest man of all time in the 100metres, 200metres and 4x100metres relay.
Speed, real name Darren Jason Watkins Jr. has become synonymous with football in recent months, culminating in his starring role during the US coverage of Paris Saint-Germain’s 5-0 Champions League final win over Inter Milan.
The 20-year-old YouTube personality had a starring role in CBS’ coverage stateside, presenting with regulars Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards.
The youngster couldn’t believe his luckTwitchHe also streamed his German adventure live throughout the week, keeping fans entertained with the former Liverpool and Manchester City duo.
During one such scene at the Allianz Arena, he also made sure to remind everyone how he got his name, which may have caught Bolt’s attention.
Having met Bayern Munich speed demon Alphonso Davies at his home stadium, Speed boldly started talking up his talents to Richards and Carragher.
“There’s no footballer that’s faster than me, [Kylian Mbappe’s] not quicker than me no,” he said.
“No footballer, I swear, in a 40 or 50 yard race they’re not faster than me, I promise you that.
“I’m faster than Kyle Walker. I don’t think you understand how fast I am”
Carragher then hilariously replied: “I don’t think you understand how fast you are, you’re not that fast.”
And when Speed reminded the Liverpool great he beat him in a race, Carragher brutally replied: “I’m 47.”
Speed narrowly beat Carragher in a backstage race at CBS, but it wasn’t so close when he faced US gold medallist Noah Lyles.
