Chuck E. Cheese is marking International Day of Play on June 11 by offering free active play for kids under 56 inches tall in its new Adventure Zones, which include trampolines and superhero playgrounds where available.
This initiative is part of a partnership with The Toy Foundation, an organization that provides toys and play opportunities to children in need.
International Day of Play was established by the United Nations in 2024 to highlight every child’s right to play, as recognized in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
In addition to the free play day, Chuck E. Cheese locations throughout San Diego, the U.S., and Canada will support The Toy Foundation through fundraisers during June.
From June 9 to 12, 20% of sales from guests who mention The Toy Foundation at checkout will be donated. There’s also a month-long “Round it Up” campaign where customers can round up their purchases to donate $1, $3, or $5.
David McKillips, CEO of Chuck E. Cheese, said the company aims to extend its mission beyond fun centers into communities where play can make a difference.
Proceeds will help The Toy Foundation bring toys and play experiences to children in hospitals, underserved communities, and crises worldwide.
