AN NFL insider revealed a scathing update on a Cleveland Browns quarterback’s future with the team.
The info comes as there have been worries that the 2025 fifth-round pick Shedeur Sanders could be released by the Browns this summer.

Deshaun Watson is the fifth quarterback on the team’s roster, but he’s injured and will likely miss the whole 2025 season.
So the Browns have two spots to fill between Flacco, Pickett, Gabriel, and Sanders, and one NFL reporter believes that one of them is expected to be cut from the squad.
The Athletic’s Zac Jackson said on that Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show that Sanders has been impressing in OTAs this week.
“I watch [Sanders]. He is talented. I hear things, he’s handling things well. We’ll see… He’s gonna have to win every single day in the meetings in the asking questions, in the practices, just to earn more chances, “Jackson said.
However, Jackson didn’t have the same praise for Gabriel as he referred to him as “the other guy.”
“I don’t see the other guy impressing at all and I’m not trying to be personal with him,” he said.
“He does not look like an NFL quarterback and 31 other draft rooms didn’t think he was a second-day pick.
“So he’s gonna have to earn those too.”
Jackson thinks that Flacco will be the team’s starter come Week 1, but he also believes that Sanders could end up being the second-string backup.
This is Flacco’s second stint with the Browns, and he has 18 seasons of experience, which should give him the edge to start this fall.
Jackson’s glowing review of Sanders comes after recent reports that it’s not certain that he will make the Cleveland roster this summer.
NFL reporter James Palmer spoke about Sanders’ future with the Browns.
“Fifth-round picks are not a lock to make the roster, so no, I don’t think he is 100 percent a lock,” Palmer said on a Bleacher Report livestream.
“I think he has one of the highest-selling jerseys in the NFL right now.

“I hate to say it, but it does often times, especially in the eyes of owners.
“But, you don’t draft a guy in the third round and cut him.”
The son of Deion Sanders was expected to be a first-round pick before being the No. 144 overall pick in last month’s NFL Draft.
