Tom Hardy has continued to find success as an actor over the last two decades.
After studying at the Drama Centre London, Hardy made his feature film debut in Ridley Scott’s war thriller Black Hawk Down in 2001.
After Black Hawk Down, Hardy went on to appear in a slew of well-regarded films including 2008’s Bronson, 2010’s Inception and 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road. In 2015, the actor received his first Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Revenant.
Three years after his Oscar nomination, Hardy landed the role of Eddie Brock/Venom in 2018’s Venom. He has gone on to reprise his role in the 2021 sequel Venom: Let There Be Carnage and 2024’s Venom: The Last Dance.
Aside from acting, Hardy’s relationships have also made headlines throughout this career. In 1999, Hardy married producer Sarah Ward. Following the couple’s divorce in 2004, Hardy began dating The Virgin Queen assistant director Rachael Speed in 2005. Speed and Hardy welcomed son Louis in 2008 before calling it quits one year later. In 2014, Hardy married his Wuthering Heights costar Charlotte Riley after nearly five years of dating. The couple went on to welcome two kids in 2015 and 2019.
