Arizona State men’s basketball forward Basheer Jihad received a pre-NBA Draft workout invite from the Phoenix Suns, according to Synced Sports Agency.
The forward also got an invite from the Washington Wizards, per his representation.
The Suns currently hold Nos. 29 and 52 in the upcoming draft, which tips off June 25.
Jihad transferred to ASU last season after a three-year stint at Ball State.
In his lone season as a Sun Devil, the 6-foot-9 forward averaged 12.7 points on 40.6% shooting and 28.5% from long range. He added 5.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 steals across 30.5 minutes per game.

Jihad was third on the team in points, second in rebounds and tied for first in steals per game.

A look at some of the other draft prospects to work out for the Suns this draft cycle:
RJ Luis, St. John’s guard
Luis posted a photo of the Suns practice court on Instagram this past weekend.
He spent two seasons at St. John’s where he averaged 15.3 points per game on 43.4% shooting and 30.5% from long range.
The 6-foot-7 guard also recorded 6.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals in 31.8 minutes per game.
In his final season at St. John’s, Luis was named 2024-25 Big East Player of the Year behind career highs in points (18.2), rebounds (7.2), assists (2.0) and steals (1.4).
Labaron Philon, Alabama guard
Philon was also in town for a pre-draft workout, according to his TikTok story.
Appearing in 37 games as a freshman at Alabama, Philon averaged 10.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.4 steals across 24.7 minutes per game.
He shot 45.2% from the field and 31.5% from deep.
The 6-foot-4 guard earned SEC All-Freshman honors for his efforts.
RJ Felton, East Carolina guard
The 6-foot-3 guard earned a pre-draft workout with the team, according to Exclusive Athletes Agency.
In his fourth and final season with the Pirates, Felton set career highs in points (18.8), rebounds (6.4), assists (2.5) and steals (1.2).
