Novato authorities investigating death of elderly man found on the ground ...Middle East

(KRON) – The Marin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of an elderly man, according to authorities. 

At around 10 a.m. on Sunday, the Novato Police Department was alerted to the report of an elderly man who was on the ground, not breathing, near Entrada Drive at Lilac Place. 

Novato police officers and the Novato Fire Department responded to the scene, and paramedics determined the man was deceased.

The Marin County Sheriff's Coroner’s Office responded to assist with the death investigation.

The identity of the elderly man will not be released until the next of kin is notified, according to police. 

The Novato Police Department thanked the community members who assisted and reported the incident on its social media.
