APAaron Rodgers is said to be ‘waiting’ on the Vikings to make him an offer[/caption]The Steelers have put a one-year contract on the table and are ready to make Rodgers their starting quarterback.
But the Green Bay Packers legend has decided to continue holding off on signing the deal.
And reports from ESPN claim Rodgers is still hoping the Vikings come forward with an offer.
Journalist Jeremy Fowler said: “There’s some teams I’ve talked to that are still kind of wondering, ‘Is he just waiting out the Vikings’.
“Because the Vikings would be an ideal scenario: one of the best play callers in the league in Kevin O’Connell, you’re guaranteed nine dome games per year.”
However, Fowler adds that a Vikings approach for Rodgers is “unlikely”.
They are instead said to be “moving forward with J.J. McCarthy”.
The 22-year-old Michigan graduate missed his entire rookie season due to needing surgery on his right knee following a torn meniscus.
McCarthy was selected tenth overall in the Draft last year.
The Steelers wanted to have Rodgers in their team by now.
