But Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and TKO – who own WWE – are confirmed a change of plan.
A statement to Wrestlenomics read: “The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and New Orleans & Company are working closely with our friends at TKO to expand our long-standing partnership, which will include UFC 318 on July 19, 2025, Money In The Bank in 2026, and WrestleMania – which will move from the currently scheduled 2026 timeframe to a future year.”
Instead, Money In The Bank will head to the Crescent City in 2026.
But there are still plans for New Orleans to host a future WrestleMania.
Now, according to NOLA.com, Mania will be returning to Las Vegas and the Raiders’ stadium.
Vegas also hosted the Super Bowl in 2024 and are in the running to home to Canelo Alvarez’s boxing mega-fight against Terence Crawford in September.
NFL legend Tom Brady has a five per cent control of the Raiders for a deal now valued around $335 million.
His presence in the Raiders organisation was minimal upon his immediate arrival, but has seen grown in impact and role in decision-making in the past few months.
Newly named head coach Pete Carroll said he is in “pretty regular” touch with Brady, who ‘attacks every opportunity he has.’
Though the team slumped to 26th in the NFL standings in his first few months in the building, as a result they’ve been handed a regeneration via the draft.
With the sixth pick in this year’s draft, Brady and co chose Heisman Trophy runner-up Ashton Jeanty to beef up their offensive game.
