Jackson announced on May 18 that that night's performance was his "last road show" because he's "winding down," though he is going to put on one "big finale" concert next year in Nashville.
"It's gonna come to a point to where I'm either gonna have to decide to change the way I do a live show to continue to do it or just not do it anymore," said McGraw, to which Lawrence asked, "You don't think you'll just kind of be a guy that just stands there like Alan?"
"It's sad to watch him," said Lawrence, to which McGraw replied, "Oh, I know, but I love Alan."
"It doesn't matter if he's sittin' down, you can hear Alan sing," said McGraw, adding, "And I say that now, I say I wouldn't want to do it, but look, we love what we do and as it gets older, look, if people want to still show up and see me sitting down singing, then maybe I will."
