Reading have released six first-team players following the end of their League One campaign.
The Royals finished seventh in their second season in the third tier following relegation in 2023.

The Reading boss’ preparations for the 2025/26 season are now continuing following the confirmation of the club’s retained list.
Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tom Carroll is one of six players leaving the club this summer.
Alongside him, Adrian Akande, Coniah Boyce-Clarke, David Button, Harlee Dean and Louie Holzman will also depart when their contracts expire.
Loanees Tyler Bindon, Billy Bodin and Chem Campbell have all returned to their parent clubs.
Meanwhile, an option has been triggered to extend Mamadi Camara’s deal by a further year.
The 21-year-old is one of six first-team players currently under contract beyond this summer.
However, the club are currently in negotiations with 11 more players over new deals.
They include club captain Andy Yiadom and striker Yaden Wareham, who scored eight goals last term.
Michael Craig, Jeriel Dorsett, Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan, Abraham Kanu, Amadou Mbengue, Joel Pereira, Tivonge Rushesha, Michael Strickland and Basil Tuma are all also in talks with the club.

Rob Couhig completed his purchase of the club from Dai Yongge on Wednesday.
The former Wycombe owner has also bought Reading’s training ground and the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
Yongge’s eight-year tenure as owner was littered with financial woes and protests from supporters.
Last season represented the first time since 2020/21 that the club completed a campaign without a points deduction.
In a statement, Reading said: “The club are pleased to announce that Redwood Holdings Limited – a subsidiary company of Dogwood LLC, owned by Rob Couhig and Todd Trosclair of New Orleans, Louisiana – has completed the acquisition of 100% of the shareholding in Reading Football Club.
“The takeover, which has received EFL clearance, completed very early on Wednesday morning and includes the Select Car Leasing Stadium and Bearwood Park training ground.
“Both Couhig and Trosclair will join the club’s board with immediate effect, with Rob Couhig being named as chairman.
“Redwood is ambitious and dedicated towards the club returning to its rightful place within the English football pyramid, while adhering to clear principles of honesty, transparency, and financial sustainability.
“Further communication from Redwood will follow in due course.”
Meanwhile, manager Hunt has two year’s remaining on his contract after taking charge in December.
The former Royals forward had previously had two spells as the club’s under-21s boss either side serving as caretaker manager in 2023.
