A Denver officer was arrested Wednesday night on a warrant in Douglas County for investigation of multiple domestic violence charges, according to the police department.
Brandon Greulich was arrested in Douglas County on charges of third-degree assault, false imprisonment, harassment and child abuse, according to court records.
The case is classified as a domestic violence investigation, court records show.
Greulich, a patrol officer, joined the Denver Police Department in 2022, according to a news release from the agency.
“Due to the offenses being misdemeanors, Greulich was placed in an off-line assignment and will remain in that role while the case makes its way through the judicial process,” agency officials said in the release.
The Denver Police Department will conduct its own internal review of the incident once the Douglas County criminal case concludes, agency officials said. That review will include the Denver Department of Safety and the Office of the Independent Monitor, a civilian oversight agency.
