Carson Beck is expected to be a full participant for Miami when the Hurricanes begin summer workouts later this month, according to a report.
ESPN’s Andrea Adelson broke that news on Tuesday morning, citing a conversation with Miami head coach Mario Cristobal.
“He’s good to go,” Cristobal told ESPN. “He’s exceeding every benchmark.”
Beck is recovering from offseason elbow surgery for an injury he suffered against Texas in the SEC Championship Game last season. After initially declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft, Beck decided to enter the transfer portal and eventually landed at Miami.
Beck endured a down season in 2024 despite leading Georgia to the SEC title and another College Football Playoff appearance. He will be hoping to recover some of his draft stock with the Canes in 2025.
Expectations are sky-high for the Hurricanes in 2025. Miami just missed out on the CFP a year ago but Cristobal’s program is amongst the favorites to get on to that stage for the first time this winter. In addition to Beck, Miami added several other high-profile transfers this offseason including former LSU wide receiver CJ Daniels and former Wisconsin cornerback Xavier Lucas.
Miami will open the 2025 season against Notre Dame on Aug. 31.
