The Edmonton Oilers stole home-ice advantage with their Game 1 victory on Tuesday night.
The Oilers scored four unanswered goals, including a late game-winner from Zach Hyman, to steal Game 1 against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Connor Brown doubled the Oilers’ lead late in the third, deking around Golden Knights defenceman Shea Theodore and cleanly beating goalie Adin Hill.
Golden Knights captain Mark Stone scored both Golden Knights goals in the first period, before Oilers forward Corey Perry cut the deficit to one before the end of the first frame.
There was no scoring in the second period but it took Leon Draisaitl less than one minute in the final frame to pull the Oilers even.
Game 2 takes place in Vegas on Thursday.
