Rihanna shared an update on how she’s doing during her latest pregnancy, which she confirmed at the 2025 Met Gala on Monday, May 5.
“I’m good. I’m shockingly feeling OK and not too overwhelmed at the moment,” the Grammy winner, 37, told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday night. “I mean, at first it was kinda like, ‘Ah!’ And I’m tired, but then I’m excited.”
When asked whether this baby will delay the release of her long-awaited ninth album, Rihanna joked that she might press pause on releasing any visuals but said her pregnancy isn’t affecting her pipes.
“No, maybe a couple videos, but I can sing!” she quipped.

ET’s reporter then asked whether Rihanna and her boyfriend, ASAP Rocky, had any other news to share, like a secret wedding, but the pop star demurred.
“No, girl, you don’t know I keep secrets very well,” the Fenty Beauty founder replied.
Rihanna and Rocky, 36, are already the parents of sons RZA, 2, and Riot, 21 months. Us Weekly confirmed on Monday that the “Umbrella” singer is expecting baby No. 3. Later in the evening, Rihanna confirmed the news via a photo shared by photographer Miles Diggs (a.k.a. Diggzy).
Rocky was a cochair of this year’s gala, which had the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” and the dress code “Tailored for You.” While the rapper walked the museum’s famous stairs earlier in the evening, Rihanna arrived hours later, shutting down the carpet in an elaborate look by Marc Jacobs.
Before Rihanna made her appearance, Rocky couldn’t help gushing about his partner, telling the Associated Press, “It feels amazing, you know. It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up. And I’m glad everybody’s happy for us ’cause we definitely happy, you know.”

In a separate interview, Rocky joked that Rihanna is an inveterate closet burglar. “She’s a f***ing thief, man,” he quipped to Variety. “I’mma get her back! She’s a thief. She be stealing all my favorite pieces, and I gotta steal it back.”
When asked whether there’s something he’d like to steal from her closet in return, he replied, “I already stole her heart, so I think I got enough.”
Rihanna and Rocky were friends for years before confirming their romance in 2021. Last year, the “Diamonds” artist opened up about their plans for more kids after welcoming RZA and Riot in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
“[I’ll have] as many kids as God wants me to have,” she told Elle in April 2024. “I don’t know what God wants, but I would go for more than two. I would try for my girl. But of course if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.”
