The Caribbean team will start their Europe tour with a three-match ODI series against Ireland, beginning on May 21 in Dublin. West Indies, placed ninth in the ICC ODI rankings, are targeting direct qualification for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027, which will be held in South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Fast bowlers Shamar Joseph and Matthew Forde return to the squad after missing the Bangladesh series. IPL performers Romario Shepherd (RCB) and Sherfane Rutherford (Gujarat Titans) are also included. Wicketkeeper Amir Jangoo, who scored a 79-ball hundred on debut, is part of the squad as well.

Former Irish all-rounder Kevin O’Brien will join the support team for the Ireland series, bringing local experience during the three-match leg against his former side.
