It is in the top ten most watched programmes on the streaming giant in 22 countries — including the UK and the US.

Now execs are starting to get their ducks in a row for another outing — not least because they want to invite back host Amanda Holden.

A TV insider said: “Netflix know she is in huge demand and want to make sure that if a second series gets commissioned, she is available to take the reins once more.

“There was always the hope Cheat had the potential for a sequel, but since it dropped it’s got a great response so another season is a no-brainer.

“But in the current climate where competition is fierce, particularly among dating shows, these decisions can go either way. Producers of the show are confident, however.”

Amanda is in big demand.

As well as being a judge on the live semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent every Saturday night on ITV1, she also has gameshow The Inner Circle on BBC One coming up this year.

Plus she and pal Alan Carr are teaming up for a fourth series of their home renovation show and I exclusively revealed the two were set to land a deal to host another programme with Netflix.

Nine-parter Cheat: Unfinished Business is something of a departure for her, but it’s one she has slotted into well, according to execs.

They like the dynamic between Amanda and her co-host, relationship expert Paul Carrick Brunson.

Viewers also seem to like the twist on the traditional dating show format.

Netflix declined to comment.

LORRAINE’s resident doctor Hilary Jones has revealed he nearly died while trying to save a woman in freezing cold waters.

He had been teaching some nurses to windsurf in Shetland when one fell off her board in the middle of the lake.

On his podcast, he said: “So I started to swim out to her but one leg went into spasm and I thought, ‘It doesn’t matter, I’ve got the other leg’. But that went into cramp and I thought, ‘Oh dear. I’m colder than I thought’.

“I kept swimming, then my arms and shoulders went into spasm and froze. I thought, ‘Oh, this could be why really good swimmers drown’. My whole body had cramped.

“I flipped over and once I was on the board we could get back and put the sail up . . .  but it was very, very scary.”

After struggling to find proof of any wreckages, Ross heads to Casablanca in Morocco.

He gets emotional as he meets with a local historian to iron out the details of his family’s past.

Fighting back the sobs, he says: “I make documentaries around the world and see lots of stuff, but when it’s about you or your family, it has a very different impact.

“Casablanca is the last place I thought I’d end up.”

The show airs at 9pm.
