The Arizona Cardinals quickly turned their attention to signing undrafted free agents after selecting seven players in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Here’s who the Cardinals’ undrafted free agents are as of Saturday:
Ohio State, OT, Josh Fryar
Ohio State offensive tackle Josh Fryar was the first post-draft signee, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson.
Fryar, a 6-foot-5 and 320-pounder, primarily played on the right side of the line (1,956 snaps) in his four seasons as a Buckeye, but he also logged 22 at left tackle, per Pro Football Focus.
He earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors after starting all 16 games during the program’s run to the 2025 College Football Playoff.
Arizona general manager was not shy about plucking Ohio State products in this year’s draft, taking linebacker Cody Simon (No. 115, fourth round) and cornerback Denzel Burke (No. 174, fifth round).
And the Ohio State connections don’t stop there, as recently hired offensive line coach Justin Frye spent three seasons in Columbus (2022-2024). And of course, rising third-year offensive tackle Paris Johnson wore the red and gray for three years.
UTSA, TE, Oscar Cardenas
UTSA tight end Oscar Cardenas, at 6-foot-4 and 265 pounds, is also heading to Arizona, per his agent Robert Sheets.
In his four seasons with the Roadrunners (not counting three games during a 2020 shortened season), Cardenas registered 92 catches for 1,092 yards while scoring nine touchdowns.
He was named Second Team All-Conference USA following the 2024 season.
His senior campaign was cut short (eight games) due to a knee injury sustained at Tulsa on Oct. 26.
Tennessee, DT, Elijah Simmons

Tennessee defensive tackle Elijah Simmons will be joining the Cardinals this offseason, according to Exclusive Sports Group.
He played 55 games (eight starts) for the Volunteers in his six years with the program.
The 6-foot-1, 334-pound beast of a man had 59 total tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss and three pass breakups.
After missing four games in 2023 due to injury, Simmons saw action in all 13 games during his final season, in which he registered 11 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss.
NFL analyst Lance Zierlein said Simmons provides “a rotational one-technique (as one) who can muddy run lanes.”
The injury bug also popped up in 2021, but he still matched his senior season totals exactly.
Wisconsin, WR, Bryson Green
The 6-foot-3, 213-pound Wisconsin product signed with Arizona after seeing two of his teammates (offensive lineman Jack Nelson and safety Hunter Wohler) come off the NFL Draft board on Saturday, per NFL reporter Aaron Wilson.
In two seasons with the Badgers, Green had 49 receptions and 699 yards while finding the end zone four times.
Before that, the Allen, Texas native spent two seasons at Oklahoma State (2021-2022) and had 48 receptions for 723 yards and seven touchdowns. He recorded college bests in catches (36), receiving yards (584) and touchdowns (five) during his sophomore season.
Zierlein said Green is a “priority free agent” that “possesses NFL size and long arms for a receiver,” but that his ball skills need work.
