It has only been a few days since Abhishek Nayar was axed as one of the coaches for the Indian Team, and the man has already joined Team KKR in IPL 2025, and one of the support staff. Now, as per a report in the Times of India, another job is coming his way, as he has been named the mentor of the Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals — a team in the T20 Mumbai League.
Meanwhile, the tournament is scheduled to begin on May 26. “Yes, Nayar is being roped in as the team mentor. A formal announcement in this regard will be made next week,” a reliable source told TOI. That is not it. Former India bowling coach Paras Mhambrey will be the head coach of ARCS Andheri.
Ex-India team masseur Ramesh Mane will be Andheri masseur. Mumbai domestic head coach Omkar Salvi will be the head coach for SoBo Mumbai Falcons. Former IPL star Pravin Tambe will be the head coach of North Mumbai Panthers. Assistant coach of Vidarbha, Atul Ranade will be the head coach for Triumph Knights Mumbai North East.
