Fire crews were dispatched to Luton Town’s stadium, Kenilworth Road, after a fire broke out on Friday evening.
The incident will not affect their highly important home match against Coventry City at 12.30pm – live on talkSPORT 2.
The stadium was the talk of the town last season as Premier League fans discovered its stairs that overlooked people’s gardensGettyAfter the fire Luton confirmed there will be ‘no disruption’ to the fixture.
Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was called at 20:08 BST and the fire was put out in less than two hours.
Pictures showed fire staff tackling the laundry room while black smoke rose.
According to the firefighters, they wore breathing equipment, an aerial platform, a 9 metre ladder and two hose reels to quell the fire.
The club released a statement, it read: “We would like to advise supporters that following reports of an incident at Kenilworth Road this evening, there is no disruption to tomorrow’s fixture with Coventry City taking place.
“Smoke was found to be coming from a small appliance that had caught fire in the stadium’s laundry room, which was contained within that area and has been dealt with swiftly to prevent any substantial damage.
“We would like to offer a huge thank you to Beds Fire & Rescue for their quick intervention, along with club partners and staff who are also on site to help resolve the issue and ensure that everything is now safe.”
The 12,000 capacity Kenilworth Road has been home to Luton fans since 2012.
Luton currently sit 22nd on 46 points in the Championship, the same tally as Derby County, who are one place above them thanks to their superior goal difference.
In the top half of the table Coventry, who sit in sixth, are fighting for a playoff spot.

But if Frank Lampard’s side fail to win against Luton, Middlesbrough and Millwall are in prime position to scrap for possible promotion.
Luton have lost only one of their last 10 league games against Coventry (four wins, five draws).
Though the loss was in the reverse fixture in October via a 3-2 defeat.
Coventry are aiming to complete their first league double over the Hatters since the 2005/06 campaign.
But it could be a hard task as Matt Bloomfield’s side has won consecutive league matches, against Derby and Bristol City.
