Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons shared his frustration as the NFL Draft unfolded on Thursday night.
The Cowboys had been linked to Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan in recent months, with calls for the team to add another ‘weapon’ to Dak Prescott‘s offensive arsenal.
The Cowboys were linked with McMillan ahead of the draft, but he came off the board earlyGettyHowever, ahead of the draft, the big question was whether he would still be on the board when Dallas made their pick at 12.
That question was answered when the Carolina Panthers made their selection, taking McMillan as the eighth overall pick.
The decision, it seems, upset Parsons.
During a Bleacher Report livestream on Thursday night, the star defensive end, who is said to be in $200million contract negotiations, reacted as the WR came off the board.
“No! That was supposed to be our pick,” he said, putting his head in his hands.
“I’m hurt. He was supposed to be opposite CeeDee Lamb.
“CeeDee, I’m sorry brother.”
Soon after, the Cowboys made their first-round pick, and selected Tyler Booker.
The front office opted for an offensive guard that spent his college career in the trenches at Alabama, who Parsons went on to describe as a ‘beast’.
He will now attempt to fill some of the biggest shoes in the history of the NFL, and will replace the retired Zack Martin.

“I would say turn on the tape,” the former First-team All-American and two-time First-team All-SEC lineman said.
“Because for three years at Alabama, I just straight up dominated. I was a dude at the University of Alabama. I was THAT guy.
“Actually, for three years straight. And it takes a lot for a person to be that.”
For all of Booker’s confidence, the argument made by many is that the Cowboys desperately need to add playmakers to their offense.
The team struggled to a 7-10 finish in 2024, and they missed the playoffs after franchise quarterback Dak Prescott went down with a season-ending injury in early November.
Instead of drafting a playmaker, the Cowboys elected to fill a gap on their O-lineGetty Booker has been signed to replace the retired MartinGettyTerrence Parsons Jr, brother of star pass rusher Micah, took to social media to slam the Cowboys front office as the draft unfolded.
He began a series of short posts with: “f*** this team. This s*** is f***in sad bro.”
Adding further fuel to the fire, Terrence went on: “I hope Dak (Prescott) requests a trade.
“They paid Dak $60million to be the scapegoat, believe what you want. There’s no way I would want to be on this team with no weapons.”
Terrence then said the Cowboys ‘better have a helluva day 2’ in the draft and of Booker, he concluded: “We drafted the 32 overall player on the board at 12, don’t try to convince me it was a good pick lmfao.”
He has previously cited Joe Burrow while making a desperate draft plea to the Cowboys.
While Dallas didn’t get a receiver to play opposite Lamb, they did replace a leader on the offensive line after Martin’s retirement.
In snap analysis of the draft, the NFL website graded the pick a B+.
The NFL rated Booker as a B+ draft pick for the CowboysGetty Many had been hoping the Cowboys would draft a WR to support Prescott and LambGetty“Booker’s intelligence and toughness should help the Cowboys’ running game right away,” Chad Reuter wrote.
“He’s been a sturdy pass protector, too, as college defenders found it difficult to get around his wide frame.
“He did not impress in pre-draft athletic testing, however, so he’ll have to show those numbers are not predictive of how he’ll handle NFL speed.
“The Cowboys chose not to select receiver Matthew Golden, who has good speed and the ability to make plays downfield. He could have been the complement to CeeDee Lamb that Dallas needs.”
Round two of the 2025 NFL Draft will commence on Friday.
