Bhubaneswar: BJD President and Leader of Opposition in Assembly Naveen Patnaik consoled the family of Odisha tourist Prashant Satpathy, who was killed in the dastardly terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on April 22.
In a telephonic conversation with Sushant Satapathy, the elder brother of the deceased, Naveen conveyed his deep sympathies to the grieving family.
LoP Naveen assured the family of all possible support during this difficult time.
Prashant, an employee of the central undertaking CIPET (Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology), Balasore, along with his wife and son, had gone to Jammu and Kashmir to enjoy the holiday. He, along with 25 others, died in the terrorist attack at Pahalgam on April 22.
Earlier, the BJD President has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam.
Describing the incident as a “cowardly and reprehensible act,” Naveen said that terrorism has no place in a civilized world, and such acts are unacceptable.
“Strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Kashmir’s Pahalgam. Terrorism should not have any place in a civilized world and this dastardly act is unacceptable. My deepest condolences to the families who lost their dear ones and prayers for early recovery of those who are injured”, Naveen expressed.
