Now on Friday (April 18), Goodnough once again took to Instagram to say that he wishes he had never written that post.
He went on to say that he loved Bertinelli more than anyone he's ever been romantically involved with, so that has make the breakup that much more painful.
He ended the post by writing, "This chapter is now closed for me. I won’t have anything more to say about it - and nothing I have to say will be about it. I’ve cried about this enough. It’s time to move on."
At the time, Goodnough denied that that was happening and wrote, "I am an adult. I am very capable of communicating openly and directly with people I know and care about. I care about Valerie."
"While I am disappointed in the array of hostile, dishonest, and uncalled-for backhanded swipes she continues to take at me, there is no war between us," concluded Goodnough. "She just won’t stop shooting. Valerie is in a war with her ghosts. I’m just the guy who catches the bullets. And that isn’t new."
