After the rain-curtailed match, Mohammad Kaif shared where Royal Challengers Bengaluru made the mistake and lost the game to Punjab Kings.
Sharing his views on Royal Challengers Bengaluru's performance at home, Kaif said that it was not a 6-over match; they had 14 overs, but their batters blindly played their shots and lost wickets against the PBKS. However, the former Indian batter hailed Tim David and Nehal Wadhera for their brilliant knocks.
Instead of adjusting to the slow, spongy surface, Kaif pointed out that Royal Challengers Bengaluru batters kept swinging blindly, leading to yet another collapse at home.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru batters blindly played their shots: Mohammad Kaif
Mohammad Kaif said in a video posted on his X handle, “RCB's batsman, whoever was coming, blindly played their shots. This was a spongy pitch, where the ball was coming and stopping."
The commentator said that Punjab Kings’ star Nehal Wadhera (33* off 19 balls) showed how it’s done. Coming in at number 5, Nehal stayed calm, picked the right moments, and guided his team home with smart cricket. Kaif said that the Bengaluru team should have batted patiently.

Kaif said that the Bengaluru batters kept going for blind shots on a tricky pitch where patience was needed, failing to last even 14 overs against the PBKS.
"And now, Royal Challengers Bengaluru is lagging behind. They will have to win the home match. But Punjab’s Nehal Wadhera, what great batting he has done! He came in at number 5 and won the game. So, brother, well done.”
