After initially appearing on the NFL Draft’s list of attendees, it seems Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart has had a change of heart.
Dart is no longer expected to attend the draft in Green Bay next week, according to ESPN. Dart was not included on the NFL’s updated list of draft attendees, which was issued on Friday.
No reason was given for Dart’s absence. Georgia defensive lineman Mykel Williams is also no longer scheduled to attend the draft, while Kentucky cornerback Maxwell Hairston has been added to the list that is now 16 names long.
It’s unclear if Dart’s decision to not attend the draft has anything to do with what he’s hearing from NFL teams regarding his draft range. Dart has vaulted into the 1st-round discussion during the pre-draft process and could be the third quarterback off the board at the 2025 NFL Draft.
There are now only 2 quarterbacks scheduled to attend the draft in person: Miami quarterback Cam Ward and Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe. Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders, who is projected as a 1st-round pick, is also not expected to attend the draft.
Round 1 of the 2025 NFL Draft is set to begin on April 24 in Green Bay.
