AN actor from one of the most popular movies of the 1990s looks completely different to his character almost 26 years after its release.
Thomas Ian Nicholas played Kevin Myers in the American comedy movies series, American Pie.

Thomas, 44, was spotted rocking out on a Summer of ’99 cruise by an avid fan.
He was playing an acoustic guitar while sitting on a lounge as a crowd of onlookers cheered him on.
Thomas played his song 1999 from his eponymous band, showing off his music and singing skills.
The song featured on the compilation album, Frat Party, which also featured his hit track, Stifler’s Mom.
Sitting beside him was another 1990s star, A. Jay Popoff the drummer from hit band, Lit.
A person on the specialist cruise posted a video of Thomas singing and posted it to their TikTok account.
“Didn’t know how much I need to see Kevin from American Pie singing in a random cruise ship cabin,” TikTok user @hnethery captioned the video.
Thomas sported a shaggier hairstyle in the video and was worlds away from his clean-cut all-American look that launched him to fame in American Pie and won the hearts of many teenage girls.
American Pie’s title refers to a scene where main character Jim has sex with a pie after being told that third base feels like “warm apple pie”.
The flick shocked audiences with its explicit scenes but became an instant box-office hit.
Thomas played nerdy but handsome Kevin Myers who dated Vicky, played by Tara Reid.
He revealed in a 2023 interview that he almost turned down the role that made him famous.
“I first thought that it was a bit dirty, maybe something for the adult channels,” he told hosts Kylie Gillies and Matt Doran on the Aussie breakfast program.
“So I sort of threw it in the trash and called my agent and said, ‘Don’t send me this’… That is the truth.”
But according to the American Pie actor, producers “really wanted” him to audition for the film and pushed him to read the entire script.
“I gave the script a whole read through and I realised that it was great, there was a lot of heart to it, so I auditioned,” he said.
