TUI is launching more flights to an African island which is hot all year round.
The airline has expanded its routes to Cape Verde, with new flights to Boa Vista from East Midlands Airport.

Flights will then depart twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays during the summer. In winter, there will be flights on Wednesdays once a week.
You can get to the island directly in six hours 20 minutes.
Those aren’t the only flights to Cape Verde either as TUI is increasing other routes too.
There are additional Wednesday flights from London Gatwick to Boa Vista.
And an extra Saturday service from Bristol to Sal.
Chris Logan, TUI UK&I Commercial Director, said: “Cape Verde has been a popular all-round holiday destination for some time now and we are seeing increased demand for Boa Vista (which translates to ‘Beautiful View’).
“This new route from East Midlands, along with our expanded Cape Verde programme, allows us to meet this growing demand. The island is home to unspoilt beaches and boasts year-round sunshine, which is a huge draw for holidaymakers seeking a new destination for a relaxing holiday.”
A 7-night holiday to Boa Vista from East Midlands starts from £783 per person – based on two adults sharing a balcony room at the all-inclusive RIU Touareg.
Departing on Wednesday, May 28, the fare includes return flights, 20kg hold luggage and transfers.

The islands have average winter temperatures of 31C, daily sunshine and you can be there in six hours.
Sal is the most popular island for holidaymakers, and that’s no surprise once you see the white sandy beaches and warm, crystal waters – which is why it’s been compared to the Caribbean.
The island of Boa Vista has a volcanic landscape with dunes – and you might even catch the sight of a humpback whale in the sea if you are lucky.
Both are great places to spot nesting loggerhead turtles because Cape Verde is home to the third-largest population.
August is the best month to watch the animals nest, although you may catch sight of them between July and October.
