The owner, 33-year-old Japanese music producer Honkon, had spent a decade saving up for the expensive luxury Italian vehicle before disaster struck.

The incident took place in Tokyo’s Minato area, with the white Ferrari 458 Spider captured burning to a crisp on the road.

Presumably shocked Honkon is seen at the side of the road, a few metres from the car inferno.

Other cars are captured slowing down as they pass the blaze, likely in amazement at what they’re seeing.

Honkon took to social media to say that he had been driving for just one hour when he noticed white smoke coming from the ultra-luxurious vehicle.

He pulled over and stopped as the Ferrari burst into fierce flames.

Honkon recalled the terrifying moment, saying: “I was really scared that it would explode.”

The unlucky owner didn’t sustain any injuries, with the fire eventually put out by the emergency services after about 20 minutes.

He added: “I think I’m the only person in Japan to have experienced such trouble.”

The Tokyo Metropolitan police Department is investigating the cause of the fire.

It is currently unclear if the vehicle was insured.

In January, a brand new £300,000 Lamborghini burst into flames on a packed street in front of shocked onlookers.

Shoppers were left gobsmacked as the priceless supercar set alight in the middle of one of London‘s busiest streets.

The fiery fiasco took place along Baker Street in Marylebone.

Thousands of pedestrians walk through the street every day and the footage shows plenty of startled onlookers.

Onlookers with shopping bags all hovered and watched in astonishment as the priceless motor burns in front of their eyes.

One said: “It’s on fire.“Lamborghini on fire on Baker Street.”

Another man with a backpack and a fire extinguisher ran onto the scene and promptly tackled the blaze.

The extinguisher created plumes of smoke which now covers the car and the flames were successfully put out.
