Influencer’s $1,000 Coachella Meal Sparks Major Backlash: ‘People Can Barely Afford Groceries' ...Saudi Arabia

News by : (Parade) -

YouTuber and lifestyle influencer Adelaine Morin took to TikTok to pose a question to her followers: “Would you ever spend $1,000 for dinner at Coachella?”

“I think I found the most expensive place to have dinner in the festival and it’s none other than Nobu. There were absolutely no walk-ins, it was reservations only. I’m so dumb, I accidentally booked my reservation for Weekend 2, but we were able to work it out on the backend because you have to pay it in full. There's no refund,” Morin detailed.

“It’s an Omakase menu, so you don’t get to pick what you get. The chef picks for you and it’s $350 per person plus 22 percent included gratuity. Also, if you show up late, they’ll give you a Bento Box to go and you can’t even eat it here,” the social media personality, who boasts 1.1 million followers on TikTok and 1.1 million followers on Instagram, continued.

“You do know people have been having a hard time buying eggs, right, babe?” a third person chimed in, while a fourth echoed, “In this economy?!”
