In a dramatic development that has taken both Star Wars fans and dedicated cinephiles by surprise, however, the British Film Institute revealed that they'd uncovered a rare original print of the film earlier this year.
During her introduction, Kathleen notably commended the BFI for securing a copy of the original Star Wars -- an achievement called a "miracle” given the limited number of screenable prints there are in existence.
"And it’s quite remarkable, what you’re going to see is in fact the first print, and I’m not even sure there’s another one quite like it," she continued. "It’s that rare. Not only that, but the famous Mos Eisley cantina scene which sees Han Solo gun down Greedo remains in tact -- much to the delight of every "Han Shot First" fans in the audience.
