Rahane then decided to hold Chakaravarthy for the middle overs. In the meantime, Harshit Rana and Anrich Nortje struck as PBKS slumped to 74/5. When the spinner came back in the tenth over, Glenn Maxwell and Shashank Singh looked to build a partnership.
But on the very first ball of his spell, Chakaravarthy bowled a beautiful googly that spun a mile and hit the middle stump. It was a short ball that Maxwell looked to play on the front foot, and there was no way he could have accounted for the fact that the ball would come in so much. A peach of a delivery, and there was nothing Maxwell could do about it.
